Print Logics and the Environment

 Print Logics has long been an environmentally supportive company. Since many corporations and organizations have made commitments to understand and reduce their “ecological footprint”, Print Logics offers products that meets these demands.

 For years, our house papers have been FSC Certified as containing wood harvested responsibly from healthy and well-managed forests. In addition we use papers that contain 10% - 100% post-consumer recycled materials. At our facility, we recycle 99% of the production waste created including paper, plastic, cardboard, and aluminum.

 Print Logics is committed to taking a proactive approach to educating our customers about the environmental importance of choosing the right papers. We are and will continue to be the benchmark for developing and maintaining environmentally sensitive practices for Printers in central Texas.

            In 2006, by our in-facility recycling alone, we have saved the equivalent of:

• 480 Trees

• 181,608 Gallons of Water

• 9,864 Gallons of Oil

• 12 Homes powered for the year

• 2 ,304 Cubic Feet of Landfill Space

And that’s just from our internal recycling efforts. By choosing papers containing wood harvested responsibly from healthy and well-managed forests or 10% - 100% post-consumer recycled materials, we saved over 5,527 Trees and prevented 47,216 pounds of Carbon Dioxide from entering the atmosphere.

Our Procurement Process:

 Print Logics seeks papers and materials that exclude endangered forest material, are from chlorine-free fiber, come from an FSC chain of custody, and contain PCR – Post Consumer Waste - material. We seek house papers that:

• Contain FSC Certified wood from responsibly harvested and well-managed renewable forests.

• Are manufactured using a Chlorine Free processes

• Contain Recycled Post-Consumer Recovered Fiber

• Are manufactured with renewable energy such as wind, hydro, and biogas.

• Come from an FSC certified chain of custody -- from forest to manufacturer to paper merchant.
